Suggestions for identification, please?

These images were sent to me with the back story the rose is said to have "been in the family since the Civil War." It grows in Southern California and a rooted plant was taken to Seattle where it died. Supposedly, it repeats. That's all the information I have been able to mine so far. I will request more about scent, prickles, perhaps further botanical images. But, based on just this, any ideas? Thanks!

My first thought was "a whiter version of Mme Pierre Oger", though that variety originated after the Civil War. A Bourbon?

It’s not quite white enough to be ‘Boule de Neige’, is it? I think I see a little pink shading instead of green shading. Also a couple years off. Lisa

It does look like Louise d’Arzens in photos. Doesn’t Virginia grow this one? Lisa

Hi Lisa- my Louise Darzens here is not that shade of pink; it is usually dead white with green tinges. The Aussie photos at HMF do look similar, but they might not have the same rose? Or just different growing conditions...

'Blanche Lafitte', perhaps?

Honestly, my first thought was that it looked like 'Baltimore Belle'', but I guess if it were a climber, Kim would have said so?

Everything I know about it so far, is posted above. The discussion on Face Book seems to be leaning toward Clothilde Soupert. Though I've never seen the flowers that large, which only means I've not seen them that large. Others have.
