Landscape Design Building a Home Design Dilemma

Concrete the wrong color

We are nearing completion of our new home. The contractor poured our colored concrete last week and I don't like it at all! It's on the stoop at our front door, the floor of our screened porch, and our fairly large patio. Instead of a beige/gray color, it has a pink hue to it. It doesn't match the stone on the front of our house or the bricks in back. Are there any options to change it now?

You need an acid stain, and a wait period before it is attempted. At least 60 days......

I'd find an experienced mason, and wait until done with the build.

- You might submit a picture in order to give us an idea of the general appearance of what you're talking about. When you say it "doesn't match the stone," I'm wondering if you mean exact match, or some degree of compatibility. It would help to see it. The acid stain may be the ticket. On outdoor color, time alone may take care of it as color can fade quite a bit (depending) during the first year, though that may not be true of color that is protected from the sun.
