We have a G kitchen layout with a slate roof. The size of our kitchen is 11x13. I really wanted an island. I want to change out to a 42" cabinet but those ledge will be shorter (near the cabinet end) instead doing crown moulding because of our slate roof meet. The ledge from the end of the cabinet to the pantry will be gone. The foyer ledge will stay. I thought of extend the kitchen into dining / eat in with no peninsula. And do a large island in the dining / eat in area? Any idea?
