Plenty of good options, but that classic black is so good. Red would be my personal top pick, I love the statement it makes...but I get that is it not for everyone. I feel that matching the existing green would be too redundant, and would not make the door "special"

Red, grass green, shiny black for the door. Not white, not matching the shutters (I recognize that they are decorative, not functional, and I like them anyway).

We are absolutely cleaning the roof!!! The summer picture was made before we bought the house. We're waiting for spring to get here to have the roof cleaned and put in New landscaping.

Real clear red would be best. @suzq the shutters on this house work. Haha. Why? Because they flank narrow windows so they theoretically could close. It is classic style home and is lovely. As to your roof, it needs cleaning. There is a fair build up of fungus or mold and that is not a good thing. Show is photos when door is painted.

I have a black front door with black sidelights on both sides of the door. Can't tell you how many neighbors have commented how much they LOVE my front door. Forgot to mention that the door and side lights have leaded glass also. My house faces west and I also have a covered porch with black chairs and table between the chairs. Keep in mind that the door does get hot in the summer months. I used to sell real estate and learned that when you have leaded glass door that's in the sun during hot weather do not put a storm door over it because heat builds up and can warp the surround around the glass or even the door itself. If your home faces north you possibly wouldn't have that problem. Hope this helps.

Forgot to mention in my last comment that I wouldn't paint your sidelights black...only your front door. Think that keeping the sidelights a lighter color would make the door stand out and also keep the visual look of the front be balanced.

Seriously,, on a nice spring day have the door striped and then have it placed in a booth to have it sprayed. If you want it to last forever, think car paint. Don’t know if your door is metal or wood but if its metal, the auto body shops do a great job! That is what my neighbor did and wow.

Never thought of using an auto body shop to pain a door bellburgmaggie! I think I'll call tomorrow and talk to the one we use. Thanks!

you could also use Fine Paints of Europe Hollandlac. this paint is super high end and has the deepest pigments and gloss of any on the market. (also comes in satin)

The auto shop could spray this as well.

Is the floor of the porch wood? If so, I would strip and stain the door to match. If this idea does not appeal to you, my choice would be a shade of green a bit lighter than the shutters and new brass hardware and lighting.
