Is the tile on this that looks white actually white?

And is the tile that looks black in the scrolling actually black or is it more of a dark gray? Does it need to be grouted when it is hung on the wall? And if so what color grout does the artist recommend? I want to hang this behind my 36” stove, has anyone else ever done this?
