I think it depends on the feel of the rest of the house. From just the pic you posted I like the folk art look # 2, the other is too formal IMO BTW anything is better than that clock

I also like them both, but personally would probably hang #1. But #2 would work well as a graphic along with that pillow.

look at both of them..put one of them there, move the second meanwhile further away..wait for a day or two(or an hour or two-depends)...repeat with the second..in my experience you soon start hearing things..:) the painting that wants to be there will let you know

I think both would work but #1 is my personal preference. Just make sure the size is good and either will look good.

Can you share where found 1? Assuming there's multiples available, of course.

I will repeat what has been said that I think they both work VERY nicely with the chairs. I think I would choose the 2nd one.

Nr. 1 matches with the green carpet. Nr. 2 matches more with the style of the chairs. So if you keep the carpet, I'd go for number 1. But if you do not like that carpet that much and will get another one, I'd go for number 2 and get a carpet in the blueish gray of that picture.

#2 is original and creative, the other is pretty ordinary albeit well done.

I'm another whichever one you prefer. I think art is art, not part of the furniture and so doesn't need to match or co-ordinate.

My druthers is#1, by a hair, but either will work, depending on your own tastes. Personally, I do like both.

(And after the mockups, now I lean slightly to #2. By a hair...)

I was thinking #1 went better, but picturebug's mock up 100% changed my mind - much prefer #2. BUT definitely art should be what you like to look at - my (random public stranger's) opinion doesn't count unless you are staging for sale/rental.

Of course, choosing art is a personal thing. Speaking as an artist/sculptor, #1_ I would never stop to look at, it just says "landscape." #2_I would stop to look further into, asking myself "what is going on with this landscape?" #2 sparks a conversation, has movement and the colors give it more life. IMO

Little mentions, but no. 2 has more relation [?] to light ottoman, and the dotted hay bales [?] seem nice with windowpane of chairs... the other seems...too rustic.

I think either would work. However, I think neither works with the oversized clock. Perhaps you can find another spot for the clock?

I voted I liked 1 better yesterday. Looking again, definitely 1 because it ties in your rug. Looks like there is some green tones in the sky....gray green maybe, but it's looking more sage compared to your rug.

Either, I like both .... I think the second is a little more interesting , but both are nice, get what you want.

As said already, get what you like but Waynette, I feel the way you do about #2 for #1. pulls me in. #2 is something I don't want to look at, at all. Art is personal and or whether or not you are an artist, and I am.
