Second First Neck Surgery Patient

This is the other plant I did neck surgery on for the first time that made it and is blooming now for the first time. Not very floriferous though the plant has gotten very large. Its 1 ft. leaf diameter has outgrown its shelf space!

Here it is at the end of September 2017.

Here it is a month earlier, right after surgery 8/30/17.

Seems to be a fast grower. I'm so proud of its progress that I couldn't resist posting. :-)

Haha - Looks like I was fishing for a compliment...I wasn’t. Just really surprised because I goofed up the surgery big time LOL.

Going to wait until after it’s done blooming to groom it. It needs it badly, I know but I just left it to see if it would recover.

This is my only variegated standard, and though I don’t notice a difference on other plants in the same room, what I think I’m seeing on this one are two culture breaks. The new variegation must be from when I put a fan in that room for circulation and it started keeping that room cooler.

75 degrees today. Spent most of this pleasant day repotting all my minis and semis.

With all the bottom leaves I had to take off, they all had necks to cut down. This surgery thing is starting to become an old hat.

So now I can happily say

I. Am. Experienced.

We have snow... probably 5 inches... I am waiting for it to melt....too lazy to shovel...
