I couldn't get back in the house, new owners and I don't know who they are. I do remember the floor being pine that ran through the dining and living rooms.

That's what I was thinking....some kind of wood stained floor. Unless you can think of a coordinating tile color?

I'm curious....still. How do you think those tiles would look with a light terracotta floor? Or another way to ask it, how would a terracotta floor look with those tiles? I'm stumped.

Terra cotta flooring would be gorgeous with this countertop! I would find a more orange range to contrast the green and insert smaller pieces of the same green into the terra cotta floor to tie it all together.

If you had big areas you could could do a rug of the green fish scales within the predominant terra cotta floor. The terra cotta and the green fish scales are both very durable surfaces and can be used on the floor. I'd suggest using smaller sizes of green tile because the glossy glaze is potentially slippery and the grout joints provide slip resistance.
