Rug should tuck in nicely under the couch and the chairs should sit on it as well:

What about a pretty soft grey/blue, like this one from Pottery Barn?

Go at least 8’x10’ on the rug. The art on the far wall needs framing to keep it from “floating” (away).

Tables and lamps need to be scaled up.

I'd look for something that has gray with a touch of white, and -maybe- your other accent colors - though not necessary. You have plenty of color going on with your walls and pillows. Depending on the rug you choose, you may have to adjust your other accessories a bit. If ordering online, it's hard to gauge color accuracy. Sometimes I will order the smallest runner size available, then it can either be used in a hall or at a back door, or if returning, the postage and hassle is minimized.

Thank you all. Great ideas. Ive been looking for something grey and white. Something soft.

Hi, Elle, I recently purchased a rug for my entry - an impossible to find size. So I went to a carpet store that sells whole house carpeting and found a print/pattern with the colors I wanted and they are going to bind the edges in the exact size I need. I was surprised at the abundance of choices. Might be worth a try for your space.

Elle, I think the second rug recommended by Patricia Colwell will work perfectly in your space... 8x10 might work better...

Just wanted to say what a pretty room you have...

I thought of this immediately..

I can't seem to post a picture right now, but here's a link:https://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Hand-woven-Albie-Wool-Stone-Look-Textured-Rug-8X10/6341712/product.html

Thank you. Im going to check it out

I agree. Patricia where can I find the 2nd rug? Thank you all so much!@

I am not sure I go just to find examples sometimes but try Safavieh pretty sure they have one.

Elle, also look on West Elm's website.

Your rug is too small and you will have more choices if you buy a normal size rug like an 8x10 or a bit larger. Consider both the blue walls and the yellow-patterned chairs when looking at rugs.

found this on west elm. My curtains are white. This rug appears to have some white but mostly ivory. Could this work?

Yes, this can absolutely work!
