It’s Monday...need a good laugh? I have read through countless posts about citrus producing true from seed, polyembryonic vs monoembryonic, etc. The information has all but hit me in the face. This morning, the light bulb finally clicked on and I realize I’ve been growing monoembryonic lemons and key limes for about 8 months.............
(Note: I will be purchasing grafted trees, but I wanted to “practice“ with seedlings before spending money on trees. However, I still planned on keeping the seedlings just to see if I end up getting fruit.)
So, now that I’ve admitted my idiocy (or rather, stupidity), I’m starting over with fresh seeds. At least it is an enjoyable lesson learned. Have a great week, everyone!
