    Art? a hutch? What do you like, what do you have, what makes it feel like home?

    New lighting and a large work of art on that wall would look lovely.

    If this is more of a kitchen nook separate from a more formal dining room, upholstered armless benches or a built-in white bench with the table and a couple chairs would make maximum use of the space.

    Moving the light to be directly over the table would be nice. I like acm's idea for the wall.

    Just jumping in to say that I love the paint colors that you've chosen! I agree with the other posters, especially the piece of art that Housegal recommended by Gretchen Trees.

    PART I:

    I needed a break from my own crazy life, & enjoyed taking time out to decorate your room! I feel these colors were great with your wall paint color & furniture as well as would go well with your white kitchen. I found the décor on Houzz, but you could find similar items at any price point anywhere. P.S. If you like any of these things, check the size first because I altered the size of the paintings to fit the wall. Some might work for you size wise but double check. Just ideas for inspiration for the sort of things you could do if you like it. {just click on the photo to enlarge it.} *Try to imagine it without the silver cluster of lights on the upper left side, imagine it only with the glass pendant over the table.

    I love art but I also love the use of naturally beautiful things. This could be an option. (I agree that a new light, hanging over the table, would be good, but I haven't addressed that here.)

    PART II:

    I also added some things to go with the other side of kitchen so both sides of the room would have a similar color scheme : - }

    Please don't put additional items on your countertops - it is not needed. Have you also considered changing your dining set?

    You definitely need some nice artwork in that space, and try moving the chandelier over so it's actually on top of the table.

    Stacie54,

    There is a 'create new sketch' feature in your 'My Houzz' at the top right of the page. Using the tool you can upload any photo to it from your computer, your idea books, or elsewhere on Houzz. Once you upload & then click add to your project, then you can click on 'products' on the top left of the sketch {I think that is says 'products' anyway}. A search box will pop up and in it you can search for anything from art, accessories, appliances etc. Then you scroll down & click on what you want to have in your project and it will automatically appear there in your project. You can click on the item you added and then adjust the size of it by pulling at the corners of the outline with your mouse to stretch it or shrink it, or using the little round tab you can tilt it. You can drag it around the page & position items where ever you want them on your photo.

    It takes a bit of trial & error to get a feel for creating a sketch using the tool but its a lot of fun to do, don't get discouraged if you have to fiddle with it a few times until you start to get it, it took me a few tries before I got it in the beginning. I am using that tool now to find pendant lights for my own kitchen reno that is almost completed. I just uploaded a photo of my kitchen using the 'create new sketch' tool, added pendant lights to my project and positioned them in place. The tool is so helpful when trying to see if you like something or not without having to buy it and send it back if it's not right. You click 'save' on the left of the sketch to save your sketch to any of your idea books. Hope that helps! Maybe give it a try it's fun!
