I've been told that luxury vinyl planks need a very flat, even surface. I have laminate in the kitchen that needs to be replaced. It needs to be pretty water resistance because that's where we enter the house (rain, snow, 2 big dogs). I think my floors are fairly even but I won't know until I pull up the laminate.

Do luxury vinyl planks require any special leveling for the subfloor?
