Help! Does this nightstand go with this bed?

I have a narrow bedroom with grey walls.

Look for something square, no round edges or details. Something very simple. Try to match the color on the headboard. What does your dresser look like?

Agree. It doesn't. Smashing bed, though.

I haven’t purchased the bed or dresser yet. Please can you give some example of nightstands that might go with the bed? Thank You All.

I'm odd man out. It is a different style but I think it works just fine. I also don't think the woods have to be an exact match. Though the lines are different in the pieces I think the tufting in the bed helps to coordinate it to the nightstand.

My ideal choice would be a campaign style dresser (although I must admit this walnut beauty does not come from the bargain basement) and a similarly styled mirrored sidetable to add feminine glamour, while reflecting (literally) the styling of the dresser. Sadly I couldn't find a source for this sidetable, but that's the principle -- and it doesn't matter at all that the wood of the feet is much lighter. All to the good.

The base of the nightstand is too heavy - look for something with lighter legs, like the legs on the bed.

This is the closest one I could find based on all the advice. Please comment. Thanks everyone.

I see why you're considering it but ... the paint finish has a distressed look, a bit shabby chic, and the bed is neither of those things. So for me, not so much.

Here's one similar to your original choice, except that this one works -- and it's a match on the wood and the legs, I think it might be part of the same range.

The last one you posted I would also say no. Too busy I'm afraid; you'll be drowning in diamonds! Notice the tufts on the headboard also create a diamond pattern...waaay too much. Since the headboard tufting creates a pattern and the style of the bed is transitional, I'd stay simple and streamlined. Many of the photos posted above would be great with it...esp the first 4. Different looks but all work beautifully.

Beautiful bed. I think you are paying too much attention to the tufting and should be taking your cues from the elegant foot board. The nightstand you originally posted is not only too chunky but lacks that kind of subtle almost Art Deco vibe at the foot of the bed.

The top four that Jan picked have the right kind of feel to them. What do you need as far as function? Your original pick had three drawers. Do you need that for storage? If not, then I wold pick something with a bit less heft.

Thanks everyone for your advice. I do need 3 drawers for storage. The 3rd one in the picture meets design and functionality but it’s a little pricey.

the third one Jan pictured is my favorite (but I didn't look at the prices)

Emmy - What is your price range so we can help you find ideas for a great three drawer night stand?

My price range is up to $350.

This nightstand is around $200. I would purchase it and replace the knobs with something a bit more glamorous to pick up on the details of your footboard. Perhaps brass ring pulls like the fourth picture Jan posted. (Click the link to see the whole bedroom collection. The bed looks much like yours.)

No, those items do not match. It's a pretty modern looking bed, I personally wouldn't do any more wood, i would do a different finish like mirror for the night stands.

God, no. But you're the only one who's ever going to see it, right? What do you care what other people think?

I would try to match the legs to the bed legs at least. That way there is some continuity in design. But "no" the one you are showing in your original post does not go.

I like this especially if you have some silver in your bedding.

For Me it work just fine. Try placing black lampshade to compliment and to serve as eye catcher.
