Since you've already chosen gray and like it, that's all that matters. If your client chose it and not you, then I have to be honest and say I never did like gray and never will. Not in furniture, paint, cabinets, flooring, cars, clothing, etc. Cement sidewalks and driveways are ok to be gray.

Gray has been around for a long time and I still think it looks great. To give the room a bit more sophisticated look and to tie the gray cabinets in with the flooring, I suggest you paint the walls in Sherwin Williams Morris Room Gray - it is a warm beige with gray undertones. This is a Kitchen I recently did with those elements. I hope this helps!

anyone that LOVES gray usually stays away from brown,, so your choice is personal...lots of lovely quartz choices that can help warm it up a bit...i love alpine mist by ceaserstone...rich creamy walls look beautiful with gray..mixing warm and cool is what creates a polished look..mink is also perfect with gray...like a dark mink velvet sofa..wow

No.... gray is considered passé where I live. Whites are still popular but there is a definite trend towards warm toned woods , at least for higher end homes.

To me, gray is a neutral, just as beige is — and neither gray nor beige go “out” — they are just different base colors to build off of. I think gray is being used more now than ever, and I am happy about that — I think it looks better with the new LED/whiter lighting. It just depends on your preference. Everything has been beige for decades, so I think it’s silly when people say they are sick of gray after it’s been trending for a few years. Also, there are warm grays and cool grays. I used a warm gray for my exterior color (Benjamin Moore, Gray Owl). I also used a warm gray for my kitchen counters ...(kitchen in progress).

We live in NYC metro, go to tons of open houses, grey is alive and well here. "Builder beige/orange looking floors/anything Tuscan" is what people do not want anything to do with.

If it truly is an art deco building, then everyone will keep true to that nature.

But fake columns, gold/rose, dark, tired brown...nah.

Keep in mind that grey = blue, green, silver...

Agree! I worked in NYC and San Francisco what you are saying is completely true. I wish the rest of the country would get on board with this. I am now in Scottsdale - the photo I posted is from Scottsdale. Once people see it, they love it.
