Albi, wow six months went by and no one answered your post. This Impatiens forum does not have very much activity, or get visited often. That's why nobody replied to you. I love Impatiens, but I've never grown any tuberous or caudex varieties. We have very cold winters and I would need a greenhouse to overwinter them, which I don't have. I have grown a yellow African Impatien, The Chinese blue Impatien, I. nabchabarwensis. A couple Himalayan I. glandulufera and I. balfouri. And are native jewelweed, I. capensis, I.wallerana, I. balsamina, and New Guinea Impatiens. There is a propagation forum here on gardenweb. You might find some useful information there, since that's what you're trying to do. Nice talking to you............. Jay
