Help with kitchen curtains

I am starting a partial kitchen renovation. The cabinets are staying. The countertop, all lighting, flooring and center island are being replaced. I am in the market for a window curtain for the kitchen sink window and full length curtains for the sliding glass door (eat in kitchen).

Our style is transitional. I like florals, and not afraid of color. My problem is, I don't know what I like until I see it. I need help narrowing down the field. I don't know where to even look for curtains. Everything on Overstock, Wayfair and J&M are boring to me.

The backsplash will be a cream glass subway tile, the flooring is a very neutral cream plank tile, black appliances.

The color scheme is cream, red-orange and black. Any suggestions? Thanks

traditional cabinets (the knobs will be black)

the granite is more bold with cream, black and orange in it (not the greatest picture)

I really like modern florals - bold.....so if you can refer a company that would be great. Also, what color would you pick?

I, too, love curtains. I would wait for all of the work to be finished before trying to make a decision. You can then see the whole picture.

is there anyway to remove the connecting cabinet bridge over the sink? that is really cutting off the sight of the window. be nice if it looked like this

I'd also do a nice pendant light.

look at blinds.com (if you want to actually look at samples, HD will have them all in the blinds section) They will also send you out 10 free samples

a nice roman shade or woven wood would look nice
these come in tons of colors

Beth H - yes, the wood valance connector is coming out! My problem is the granite - I love it, but it is hard to design aroud. I am thinking of a cream background with black pattern for the curtain.

If you do not need privacy at the kitchen window, a faux roman shade can work. I made mine in an afternoon:

I don't have a door in the same room. If I did, I would do a pretty curtain that coordinates with the window, but not necessarily the same fabric. My patio door in the next room is bare because our backyard is pretty private.

I agree with grapefruit -- look but wait until everything is done before you buy!

I do not like to put curtains (fabric) in a kitchen due to sanitary reasons. And the good news is most kitchens don't need privacy so it's not something that you need to do.

Beth, in the post before your last one, the third image down, blue kitchen with brown shade, where is that one from? I don't see that pattern on blinds.com, just curious.

mercury,,,not sure. that pic is for the WalkerZanger tiles. no mention of the blind. However, if you talk to a rep at Blinds.com and show them the pattern, they might be able to get it for you.
