Gorgeous fixtures! Rewiring is easy. Spray paint in a flat black or some other color. If you don't like the gold glass, trade some out for clear. Have a glass store cut pieces to size. I love the gold, but that's me!

You will have knock-out lights you will find no where else and you'll certainly save a lot of money.

Thank you for the ideas. The glass is blown into the metal frame, so changing the glass out wont work, I did tape off the glass treated the rusted metal and painted it matte black, and it worked. But I still have the wiring and bracket issue. I checked out the site https://bevolo.com/ They have beautiful fixtures, but I am still not sure what would work.

Good new fixtures will easily run you a few hundred dollars each if you want quality, plus installation. Hence my recommendation to take an old one down to the local lighting or electrical shop to see what they can do with wiring and brackets.

One of our fixtures with a drop bracket would work well with this application. See the photos below for some examples. The French Quarter or the Six Sided French Quarter on drop brackets are both great options.

You can have these fixtures sandblasted and powder coated. You can replace the glass with reproduction clear antique glass. The gold colored glass was typical because it gave the closest appearance to gaslight. Whatever you do, use soft warm light. As for code, they can be safe but not meet current code.
