Carpet in the Master bedroom or tile?

Remodeling all of the flooring in our home and we've purchased a beautiful tile that looks like wood. I'm not a fan of carpet anymore so I'm thinking of running the same tile in the master bedroom. Thoughts? Do people still prefer carpet in the master bedroom? We plan to put the house on the market as soon as the remodel is complete. Thanks!

We are also in Arizona and did exactly what you are suggesting.-- wood-look tile in our master bedroom. I like it very much, and it is so much easier to keep tidy with two pets. My husband is not so pleased. He likes the soft feeling of carpet when he gets out of bed. We may add an area rug at some point to address that issue.

We didn't go with real wood because of the maintenance issues and because I didn't want the required spacers between different types of flooring- It also seems to be a bigger deal to install wood on a slab, which is the typical situation here in AZ.

if the house is going on the market soon, the least expensive option is the best. I think people are moving away from carpet and tile is pretty cold for a master. What about wood flooring?

I would not put tile in the bedroom ... unless you live somewhere tropical. What do the other bedrooms have?

I'm with you about the carpet. I think it's best to have the same flooring throughout the home for cohesiveness. I'd run the wood look tile in the master bedroom and add area rugs, just as if the floor was wood.

Thanks for the feedback! We are in Scottsdale Arizona so I think tile works well in our climate. The other bedrooms will have carpet. The tile looks like wood so that's why we didn't go with a real wood in the master.

Tile. People are definitely moving in that direction for master bedrooms and whole house flooring rather than carpet (more reserved for cold climates like you mentioned!)

wood tiles would be perfect for bedrooms as long as they don't usually do activities there other than walking. they are low in maintenance compared to carpets and it also complements every types of beddings.
