Yes, it’s big enough for that. But, be careful what you wish for. Better try them out in person. I loath the under water everything in my eyes and nose and can’t breathe feeling of water trickling down from the ceiling.

evulcain, we ran into this same issue somewhat in that the shower in our new construction ended up larger than planned. While yours has enough for two heads, our was a bit of a squeeze, so we centered one, and put a hand sprayer over closer to one wall that can be turned, and if two showered it works, and the hand sprayer offers other uses such as cleaning, filling buckets, washing dogs, ect.

I would be hesitant of 2 rain heads only most definitely, as using this alone to shower is not as luxurious as it sounds coming straight down. Think outside the box, but think too with practicality and functionality being the guiding factor, and the style will come.

Bmm45bm. Thanks for your comment. In this design idea our designer was planning a hand held shower on the wall. Please see picture above. would you think this would solve the problem? I'm not completely sold on the rain showers as I have little experience with it but my designer swears by them.

We were going to do a rain shower head but then I was in a hotel room with one, and found out I hate them. They don't do a great job rinsing shampoo out of your hair. It might be because I'm short. At any rate, we went a different direction and I'm glad.

I realized there was a hand shower in the sketch after I responded. W/ that there now, there is no reason you can't do a wall mount sprayer, and the rain shower. There would just be a diverter valve that you would turn to operate either the wall mount traditional shower or turn the other direction to operate the rain head. Then you have option of either the wall shower, rain shower, or hand sprayer. Very functional, and I think your space is adequate. I assume you are not placing a bench or corner seat anywhere? It appears you will enter the shower from the clear glass facing the hand sprayer? If so, you will have to get into the shower to turn on the water on, correct? Also, with this setup and a wall shower, the water would be splashing directly against the glass and door.

We have a rainshower at one end, a rail shower at the other. I happen to love the rain shower, but it might be a good idea to try one out yourself. I like having thrpe two options though - it makes it easy to have a quick sluice when you don't want a full-on shower.

Correct, but you could do a wall shower and a rain shower, the valve and spray head would be a minimal cost investment now. Then you have the option of turning on the wall shower to rinse your hair, shampoo, and shower, and then switch to the rain shower to stand there and relax in the "rain".

Ok so I just looked up hand held shower on sliding rails. These come in 2.5 gpm waterpressure. Could this be used the same as a wall shower to wash hair?

I would make sure you LOVE the rain shower head before proceeding with such a HUGE design choice. Most of the time you will see a regular shower head on the wall and one from the ceiling for occasional use — they have a softer stream and therefore are more of a luxury rinse than an everyday ‘get all the shampoo out’ kind of clean.

I have clients who have done both and for most people in a hurry, they find they don't use the rain shower heads that much. So kind of depends on your lifestyle. Do get your controls set up so you can reach without getting into the shower. Very important, or you will take a shower when you turn the water on! Personally, I like the semi-rain shower head and the hand held combo. Then I get the best of both worlds. Semi-rain (softer, slower shower) when I can relax (not too often!) and the harder faster stream when needing to make it fast! Also the hand held helps in rinsing out the shower and in cleaning operations.

P.S. Make sure the valves and pipes coming into whatever you choose is sized properly for maximum value.

Thanks everybody for your comments. It sounds like Julie st having a rainshower may not be the best option. Maybe a rainshower, wall shower and hand held would be best l. I just found this picture on houzz

This is our current drawing of where the shower will be.

Do you all like the 1 rainshower in the middle hanging from the ceiling and a wall shower head on 1 side of the shower acompanied by a handheld shower? If yes would you put it on the same wall as the toilet? If yes the controls would also be on that side. This would be what I could ask for instead of our current design concept of 2 ceiling rain shower and 1 handheld. Thanks for your advise

This is what we have, except without the rain shower hanging from the ceiling. It's nice to have the controls on the door side as you can turn on the shower without having to get into it, and getting cold water sprayed on you. Have you worked out your niches yet? We have his-and-hers niches on the side with the controls.
