No, I mean a panel on each end of the bay window. Hanging full length. They are pre made with grommet holes at the top.

I just think the whole bay window is kind of small to put panel on each window separately.

HI -- I have the same angled bays . Have fitted wood blinds on the windows with drape side panels on the side walls full height . I used two panels for each side . I have a black metal drape rod the whole width of the wall and no finials on the ends as the rod is right to the side walls . But your bay top is full height so you only need a rod for each side that extends over the sides of the bay a bit and you can have fancy finial for each . I think you only need the blinds on the dining room windows , but you decide . My blinds are by Hunter Douglas . I like the fabric and think it will look very nice .

Thanks lefty, I really don't want to sink a bunch of money into rods for the bay windows. Certainly doable to do just the end windows then? A simple panel on each end to finish the look? I thought about doing straight rods above each window, butting them against each other and camouflaging it with additional panels but I think it might be too heavy and too much for the size of the windows.

How wide should the rod be? I haven’t been able to find shorter rods 12-18”. The end windows are 30” including the trim. The center is a little bigger.

HI -- See now that is not where the drape panel should go ... it looks awkward . The drape panel should cover the wall on each side of the bay . The rod needs to be the wall width plus a bit more .

I just have them hung with the rack they came on! I will need that advice once I go to hang

I'm sure she knows they don't go where they are, they are hung on a hanger, just to get an idea of the style, I believe.

Why do you need a shorter curtain rod? Is there a reason you didn’t like the first treatments. You have a beautiful home though

Here on Houzz I saw another post similar to mine. They suggested a lighter more gauze type fabric. I found these and thought the looked less heavy. The pussy willow print ones are black out drapes. Very nice but not necessary. I will try and find a short rod to hang them on. I will hang them as high as I can and outside the window about 12", and overlap the window about 8". I think that's acceptable.

You could do a faux roman shade on each window mounted on a an inexpensive tension rod (no holes).

I like the look of the sheers for the more formal rooms. I also don't have enough head space within the window to mount it. I would have to mount outside the window which I don't think I would like as well.

Beth, you may be right! I just think of the front rooms as formal. Call me old fashioned! the second picture is very pretty.
