I meant to write " the sconce finishes match the mirror finish" (brass) . I want to add that a concern is finding a color to compliment the neutrals and add some visusl interest. I don't usually choose towels or accessory colors at this point but I like that blue color and couldn't help wondering if it'd work.

Yes, beckysharp, some yellows and " golds" seem to fight with brass. While I've seen orange work beautifully, there are some shades of orange that don't seem to complement brass ( at least, to my eyes).

i also like darker blues but we want light colors to offset the dark vanity. I was thinking of layering the blue towels with a complementary light or dark brown shade.

Yes, that's actually a very classic look. I think it will be lovely.

I think blue, brown, and brass will look very nice together.

I love that laundry room, so much so that I'm tempted to paint at least one bathroom wall that color ( gossamer blue) but I'd better stick with the blue for accessories. Easier to change out.

And quite a mix of metals in that laundry room, too.

Yes, they mixed them up! I was merely showing your towel color with these.... and it works for them, could work in yours!
