Its hard to tell if the room is painted... if not, paint would warm it up. When I think of Mid Century, I think of wood, Maybe some floating shelves on the walls. A comforter set with more pillows would cozy it up, I am not a pro on Mid Century though..lol

I would add some pillows with colours from your lovely art. For a headboard you could do a large wood one with floating shelves instead of nightstands.

I am a man and for me your bedroom is perfect, not just for man/not just for woman.
For me it is correct to "decor" a room to be confortable but we don't live in, we sleep in.
For the same reason I don't know why many people want a "Big room"... Just enough for me is correct, I prefer more spaces for the rest of the house.

In the picture it doesn't look like you have a headboard. That will help, it doesn't need to be wood. Look on Houzz under bedrooms for inspiration, it can even be drapes. I think floating shelves for the nightstands would look nice as the ones you currently have look low to me.

A nice throw across the bottom of the bed and pillows, perhaps another art piece above your bed

Nice room, and I love the dresser and mirror. Try to choose a color scheme, look at photos of rooms you like and analyze what attracts you. The bed needs a head board. An accent wall might be nice behind the bed, but it might compete with the large and colorful art work. If you want to keep the art, use it as a color scheme, but not quite so bold. The fan looks a little heavy and industrial. Maybe a lighter more streamlined version, or midcentury hanging fixture.

Everything deco said. I would also consider changing your sconces by your dresser to something more mid century.
