we have a desk in our kitchen. Lovely desk - 43.5 inches wide that no one uses :-(. I want to remove it, put in a base cabinet(s) and turn it into a coffee/tea station. Hubby is sentimental and wants to hold on to it as the countertop is beautiful and matches the countertops on the rest of the cabinetry. As it is a desk, it is lower than standard cabinets making my coffee station a little awkward. Help us find a compromise :-).
