Wow,I thought these were more like shrubs, I didn't know they could grow that tall. I guess many people just keep them short for ease of picking.

They get larger. One in a backyard towers over the house..near here too. I guess they use fireman's ladders to pick the high fruit. But,others do prune them down I see in town. 15 years ago..nobody had them here. NOW,They are all over. Dragon fruit is another that went from rare to common.

Wow that IS the biggest cherimoya tree I've seen so far. Nice shade tree too. Mine are still small close to 5' - wish they would grow faster! Hmm... I've also planted them rather close not thinking they would get THAT big because all the cherimoya trees I've seen in person don't get that big.

Well I'm on the east coast and cherimoya certainly does grows here! Lol you must mean the Northeast and just the North in general.
