Those flowing curtains so close to the fireplace look like a fire hazard. You might use them in summer, but not in fire season. I actually think they say "feminine bedroom" rather than living room and are out of their element with your furnishings. Even though you have a corner fireplace, it is ill-advised to corner any furniture. You lose square footage and give the impression that your home is too small for your things. I assume there is a TV somewhere here. It should be on the wall where you have the cart, clock and cabinet. Let us see a photo of the wall opposite the sofa location, so we can be of assistance.

This room is attached to kitchen; opening thru kitchen is on the right of kitchen (so basically you walk into the house straight into kitchen, and if you look back into living room fireplace is angled on back /right walls... didn’t want to close off that walkway and sight line) Was worried about putting tv on wall to right of fireplace because couch would then totally obstruct walkway if that makes sense - room is too big for just one area but the angled fireplace makes for weird arrangements.

Agree, the curtains are not for this room, but a more tailored and just barely above the floor curtains; no break.

It looks like you have a corner with some type of printing in the corner; would you consider pulling sofa away from that wall a bit and putting the bar cart there with a pair of prints on the walls and maybe an arc lamp over the corner of the sofa to light that area and the bar cart.

Purge the bar cart to just alcohol and glasses uses to serve the alcohol and an ice bucket. It looks sloppy and should look accessible, but right now it looks precarious.

Thanks, all. Here’s one of the listing photos to give you the scope of the room. As you can see, room is huge — Needs more than one “area” in it. From this angle, our tv media stand is currently on the immediate wall to the right , and that wall stops to provide a very wide passage to kitchen

It is a big room, I would get rid of the drinks cart altogether sorry, looks a bit cluttered in that corner, add some more depth of colour in your cushions. Very nice room, beautifully decorated

I definitely think the TV should go where you have the bar cart, clock and cabinet, so the fireplace, TV and view at that end of your space are the focal point. I'm not sure why you are covering the view of the green space outside. It's obvious that the window left of the FP is too close for any drapery to work there, and the two windows are too close together for drapes to work well between them. They are picture windows while the other windows are not. That tells me that the builders were interested in seeing that view. Consider an inside mounted window covering that is more tailored like your sofa. If you just like drapes, you can put them on the front window where there is room for them to hang properly. Then do roman shades on the other windows in the same fabric. If there is room, I would move your big cabinet to the wall where the light switch is in the MLS photo. After all that, center your rug in the room, turning the sofa to face the focal end of it. I think you'll be able to move the bar cart into the corner behind the sectional in your last picture. Take pix of the changes and we'll tweak anything that needs it.

As someone mentioned the room looks so nice all except for the bar cart. I think it should have at least half the things taken off, or better yet it is a cart for a reason. Put it in another room - you said you are right by the kitchen so put it there! Wheel it in your living room as needed.

Appreciate the suggestions about rearranging couch and metal cabinet; unfortunately Can’t move the metal cabinet into kitchen due to it being too tall; couch also can’t face fireplace wall as this is our only living space on this floor and it wouldn’t work with hubbys tv setup. That room really looks nice. My only qualm is for how orderly and proper everything is, the booze cart looks disheveled. I can see it sorta matches that open structure clock but it doesn't match, not even if it were painted gloss black.

It doesn't match the china cabinet either. A simple magazine rack that offers color might be the gig. It needs a series of serious colorful objects to grab the eye but enough to share the room. Maybe if those bourbons were on the booze cart that amber/brown would do the trick. Right now the color pallet remains washed light blue to gray.
