Ha! I have 2 and they always seem to photobomb! Something that might help with your dilemma is to explain a bit more about this space and add more photos from different directions. From where the chandelier is located, it looks like that area to the back could have been meant as a dining area? To where do the doors lead and especially a pic looking from the opposite direction. There are lots of great people here that will help you if you provide as much info as you can. Good luck!

Maybe a mini drinks station, small round table under chandelier with a few comfy chairs, or reading nook with bookcase or both. Just make it intimate and cozy. Add big art on other walls with perhaps a bench seat under art piece. A nice little bed for your adorable fur baby lol

Do you mean the dining area or closer to the entry? If entry, could we please see the other side of the room?

Thank you all for the replies! I love that photo of the cozy sitting area! So the space we have open is just past the entry way to the home, before the livingroom. I’ll include a few more photos. It’s such a strange space! And here’s Delilah :-)

We haven’t put up the hall tree and shelving in the entry way yet, but it will be here...so this shot is both the open space in question to the left of the photo...and the entryway to the right. (Note the chandelier as a point of reference) I hope these help!

I could see a round table go under the chandelier, some low bookcases against the walls. It could become a place for homework or as a home library with some nice cozy chairs.
