Joining a modern club might me the way to tip me into this hobby. I love OP picture.

What a fun idea. You did a wonderful job with that one block.

There's a whole world of quilting using modern blocks and free form art quilts. We even have a TV show here on that subject. Many of us do both but all of us do a wide range of projects from applique to modern and dying our own fabric. We'd love to see what you do and how your boxes come out at the end of the year.

I love the idea as well and can't wait to see what you get at the end of the year. Those colors would probably put me off as well but you did a good job with them. Very interesting block.

I had the 'color' problem at the store. Customers would choose the glass they wanted, tell me where to put each color and I'd write it down on the original, full size pattern.

Can't tell you how many times I disliked their choices at the beginning and absolutely couldn't see whatever they were seeing. Only to be impressed by the finished panel. I am now able to appreciate different colors.

I really like the way you’ve used the white in the block- it’s very clean and crisp, which you don’t expect with that color combo. Nicely done!

Hi Hareball, This block is my own creation, but loosely designed from blocks in Elizabeth Hartman's book "Rapid City". Here is a larger version of the block I modeled it from, but with fabrics supplied in the box, I was challenge to follow this exactly, so I winged it...so to speak.
