What color is the spider-silver or brass? What area of the shade should I be measuring to determine which size to buy? If I'd like the shade the new shade to sit lower on the lamp than the current one, would another one size larger do the trick?

    HI: THE SPIDER IS BRASS. THIS SHADE IS A 6" MEASURE 4x6x6 TOP 4", BOTTOM 6" AND SIDE 6" SINCE THIS IS A CLIP SHADE, A LARGER SHADE WOULD NOT MATTER AS FAR AS FITTING LOWER. NEXT SIZE UP WOULD ALSO BE A CLIP
