The Meyer lemon rootstock is neither predictable nor is it particularly hardy; it is okay for containers; but I would not plant it in ground.

Check this out to chose your rootstock. I am growing a Seville sour orange seedling for rootstock.

This would be in a container, so hardiness is not much of a concern but you can't grow a 25' tree indoors. Unfortunately rootstock property lists/guides don't say what the 'native' meyer rootstock has in terms of properties. It's understood to be sort-of limited to 8-10 feet tall, but will the how vigor characteristics it (the meyer) shows be present in the scion?

Well, no way to no for certain it sounds like.

the Meyer lemon is not on the chart because it has to many problems. The chart shows the juice and fruit qualities that a particular rootstock adds or detracts from the scion of choice. Chose one you can get seed for and grow a seedling for grafting. Let your Meyer lemon grow lemons for you.
