My Wife would like to gently open up an area in the basement which is partially finished. Initially she thought about taking an entire load bearing wall out, but that sounds very expensive and dangerous. Is it possible to create 2-3 passthroughs in between the supporting studs? The wall is only about 6 feet wide with a doorway and header at the end. it's sheetrocked and painted on one side and open studs on the other side to the unfinished portion of the basement. Trying to get a low cost and safer solution I might be ablet o do at home.
