This is our new place and we are struggling to decide between either a dark grey L shaped couch or a lighter creamish coloured couch. The photos which I've loaded with the furniture are very old photos of the previous owners' (horrible choices) furniture. Needless to say, all of that furniture is gone so we are now sitting with a completely open space that we would like to keep as open as possible. We love the classical elements of the house and want to retain elements of that.

Our couch will however be somewhat more 'modern' in design (very simple) but we are looking to have heavy cream coloured curtains and some older antique free standing chairs with most probably more classical upholstery. We'll also probably throw in a persian rug of some sort along the way - just to give an idea of more or less where we are heading.

With all that in mind, I'd love to hear suggestions about either a darker grey couch or a lighter couch. I'm leaning towards the lighter, and my partner towards the darker, so we need help!
