So I'm the first to be awake today? Have been awake (not out of bed) since 5:45am. Ugh!
Scrolling through dilemmas and catching up with Facebook.
Good Morning!

Ok! Jack Reacher is calling me. Bad Luck and Trouble, 5th reading. But it's a new book because I wore the old one out, so maybe it will have a different ending! hehehe Later!

I might have posted this before, but Robin's story reminded me of this. I had just finished scrubbing this house top to bottom, washed all the floors and everything was spotless. I left the bag of garbage on the floor meaning to take it out but I forgot. I left for hour or so, and when I came back, I was coming down the hallway and saw all these... greasy marks all over the floor and bits of paper towel... and I'm like wahhhh?

Came into the kitchen and found this. Greasy bits of used bacon grease soaked paper towel, and greasy face marks and nose art all over the floors and the fridge and... everywhere. Coffee grounds, eggshells... omg.

And little miss innocent, looking up as if to say, "I have NO idea what happened here..." LOL

Even the best dogs will go for it if they think they can get away with it.

robin, i'm 5'9". i also prefer to date taller men, wear heels and still look up.

pants length can be a problem. have you tried the vera wang capris at kohls? stretch denim and twill in several colors. they're cheap and comfortable and easy to dress up or down and no worries about length.
I should send that photo in to www.dogshaming.com
  • 13 years ago
Dog shaming pictures are too funny!
I don't know that we have a Kohl's in Canada... Capri's usually aren't too bad for me, but pants...ugh. I love Bluenotes as some of their jean styles come in a standard 34 leg. I've tried shopping elsewhere, but I can never find anything that fits right.

Don't look too shame to me, more so, I aint scared of you.

I'm trying to teach myself how to crochet and its a disaster!!!!
Hah! I am a disaster too! The only thing I can do is those dish tag things and no guarantee they will actually be square.
    *rag. Not tag.
Whoever invested crocheting was a sadist with far too much time on their hands.
    *invented. Stupid auto correct.
ha ha...Robin...my grandma tried to teach me...I watched her hands and would get all confused...btw..she was left handed and I wasn't....However, I can do the single stitch...
.....WOW...some real sour pusses sometimes on threads...just negative...ticks me off some days. Not ours, of course.
ASV is quiet too lately..I want to see that yard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think I've almost mastered the single stitch going forwards. It looks nothing like the YouTube video though.
I am sure AVS will do something amazing with her yard. It was already looking good. Cant wait to see how it turns out. Which thread had the sourpuss, jayme? No need for that, I don't understand it.
@Robin....don't u have enough to do? Now croqueting too? LOL

A lady wanting more curb appeal..someone made a rendering of a portico and I said.."how nice' and someone attacked...so stupid
  • 13 years ago
Bail now... Before it gets worse. Lol

It's getting dark now, and I'm not quite ready for bed yet, and I'm at a standstill in my game (stupid candy crush) so crocheting was on my bucket list, thought I'd pick it up tonight. Lol
  • 13 years ago
Keep on with the croqueting!! My grandma used to make pop can croqueted hats....and we wore them all the time!!!! You had to cut the pop or beer can "face"/label off...then punch holes all along it's edges and attach to a croqueted hat...hilarious.
Jayme, that person did the same to me a few days ago. :-/

someone is unhappy with the world...I would like to invite that person to be happier...prob. in some sort of pain and/or turmoil
  • 13 years ago
Well, I think I'm going to give up for the evening. I've figured out how to do a straight line. Maybe tomorrow I'll learn how to add a row.

My chest is feeling rather tight tonight (asthma). I'm trying to decide if its the humidity or the dog. I really hope its not the dog...

Ha! I don't think I was as diplomatic. I don't appreciate being condescended to.

ETA: Yeah, agreed. I've had positive interactions in the past with the same individual. So... who knows.
I hope it's not the dog too, Robin.

There was a very negative against women post ...I can take a joke, but won't take a beating I don't deserve...clarifying can shut things like that down pretty fast...

Hi there guys I must have ESP - just popped by to say hi and see my name being taken in vain! The yard is gettng even more bamboo thrown at it. Our neighbours "kindly" asked us that as they now look down onto our dining room if we would like for them to raise the height of the fence they are putting up on top of the wall. Of course we "kindly" advised them that we could not accept any height taller than that approved by our commune and would like it in a translucent material. Which of course they will not do. So I am now ordering 5m high bamboo plants for the end where it is most offensive (outside our dining room window). In the meantime getting very very busy with an apartment redo up in the mountains which entails weekly on-site visitsNice to see you all doing so well - I follow the trials and tribulations here but just cannot keep up with the various conversations.... I feel like I'm a chameleon placed on a tartan rug! My head explodes.... I also agree about sourpuss posts... but am trying to keep a bigger distance these days...
i have to be diplomatic or I would be in jail...in my profession...high stress...high emotion, etc...Not that others don't have some of that in their jobs as well.
Agreed. But was bound and determined that I was wrong. Whatevs. I just move on.

Ok you all go to bed while I talk to myself.

Actually I put a post on earlier in my lunch break and it has disappeared. Robin - move closer and I will teach you to crochet, it is sooooo easy. Love them to bring back the 70s and the crocheted tops, my joeys had bellbottom pants and middriff tops and of course there were the bikinis!!! What are you planning on making? Back in the olden days when I was a Girl Scout leader (yep me!) the kids loved me to teach them (and the mums) and for southpaws we used a mirror and they watched me in the mirror which of course totally reversed everything I did.

Guy is coming tonight to change the legs on my ottoman - finally it might be right, only taken them 6 months. You would have been so proud of me yesterday when I read the riot act and said it was to be done by tomorrow OR ELSE!!!
