Since this a new build I would get a closet company to help with this layout instead of stressing over this. Wall sconces IMO are useless in closets what you really need is goor LED lighting in the 3500-5000K range to mimic bright daylight so colors stay true . Anf before designing the space you need to make a list of what you really want. How much hanging space do you need , do you need drawers more than short hanging space. the are literally dozens of things to be considered that is why I say get a closet company involved. Do you have a shoe collection for instance.

Is the skylight already installed? I have one in my walk-in and always wonder, "Why did they it?". My problem with it is that the sun shines in, on my clothes, and that just can't be good.
