jade birds nest sans

I rescued this beauty from a small plant shop. I was excited to find this color because they are hard for me to find here in NYC. The soil was saturated and it was growing in a plastic pot. I removed as much of the old soil as possible and replaced with a fast draining soil. in repotting I noticed that it had an all white pup still forming and the roots looked ok. what do you guys think? there was some mechanical damage, but I was worried about one of the leaves looking like it was rottening.

    Officially, your plant is called Jade Dwarf, there is a variegated form of it with yellow edges called Jade Dwarf Marginated.

    It looks okay other than being a bit beat up. The rotting leaf you're concerned about could be diseased, there's also a rotted place on the right side of the lowest leaf in the 2nd pic. I would take off the entire half-leaf and at least the bad part of the other one, then see if anything else develops. Be careful to keep water off leaves to help prevent spread of possible disease.

    Cool that you've got offsets, maybe you'll have a pot full soon.
