Lookup his license info for your state. Look into filing a complaint with the board. If he has a valid license, that is.

How much work is left to do? Sometimes it's not worth going after a missing contractor, but if there's any way he can argue that you owe HIM money, you need to get it cleared up.

I'm betting he got a call from a General Contractor for whom he subs regularly. He will disappoint/anger his own retail customers to keep that GC happy. You're just one little job; the GC throws him tons of work constantly.

Hello and thanks for the help. My contractor did come back and finished the job, he showed up once a week on either friday or saturday to get it done, which makes me think he has another job or another project. But the work is done!
