Is there a color you love or that inspires you? In a windowless creative space I'd think the paint color you choose should most be influenced by how it might impact your mood.

In our last house I painted the basement paneling Ben Moore Muslin and I really liked it. It's beige, though, so YMMV.

For starters change the lighting get a couple of simple LED track lights with bulbs in 5000K they will mimic sunlight and give true colors when you are woring . Then and only then do you choose a wall color. Floor lamps and desk lamps are added to give overall shadow free lighting.I would choose a soft blue like the sky to make it feel as airy as possible .I would find Bluebell a bit too intense for a craft room where you need to have the proper lighting with no interference from color reflection.Maybe Brittany Blue from BM

Yes, change the lighting before doing anything else. Fluorescent lights just throw off the color of everything.

The fluorescent tubes can be switched out to LED tubes designed for just this purpose without changing the fixture itself. Check big box stores or amazon.
