Seeding possibilities after pre-em

I use Prodiamine last week as the soil temps are rising early this year. I also have a decent area of poa annua despite using tenacity in the fall at seeding time.

The poa was just starting to get seed heads so I decided to pull up as much as possible early to maybe help reduce next years infestation.

This, of course, has led to lots of bare spots where the rootball came up. The holes are a good 1.5-2" deep.

Would it be worthwhile to lay some fresh topsoil in these holes and try to seed these areas or will it be a lost cause.

I know as the fescue starts to grow it will thicken up the overall appearance and diminish what I am able to see of the holes, but would prefer to try and fill as much as possible so long as the world involved is all for not.

Any tips or suggestions?
