Morning sun shrub for Dallas

I would like to use Otto Luyken Laurel for a morning sun location. How does this plant do in Dallas? Also called Prunus laurocerasus. The common name for this plant is Common Cherrylaurel or English Laurel. This is NOT Prunus caroliniana or Carolina Cherrylaurel.
