I am not in your area, but it seems a bit early to me. I plant my peas as the daffodil buds start showing color.

You could try planting one row now and then plant another every two weeks for the next month or so. I usually soak my peas, drain them, cover them with a damp paper towel in the dish, and when I start seeing a few roots just starting to poke out of the seeds, I then plant them. Once they have started the sprouting process, they are less likely to rot in cold soil.

Southern Maine here....I plan on planting mine next week. Waiting for my Territorial order otherwise I would sooner. I'm liking the above starter idea, may go that route this year.

My garden finished emerging from the snow over this past week, so I guess I should be considering planting peas. I do think that I need to wait at least a week here, however, as the soil is still quite cold. I still have snow piles in shaded areas such as on the north side of evergreens.
