Well I couldn’t find anything about building codes, but the glass guy just kept telling me it was overkill to go high and it should just stop below the shower head ! He did say if we go high (7’ ish) then we need the 3 hinges and I am totally good with what he says, was just curious because in pictures I don’t see many 3 hinges ....

You need room for the STEAM to escape. .............yes, you do. A foot is usualy fine. Not everything you see online is really practical. Or you can be stuck with a door hanging open to air it out and dry,.......post shower. For hours.

My shower has glass to the ceiling, except for the door. No problem with moisture, but I do squeegee and leave the door open as I blow dry my hair, etc.

We also put the fan on a timer, so we can put it on for 10/20/30/60 minutes and walk away, not having to worry about coming back to turn it off.

She is having two matching doors, no side glass panels. ................it needs to vent. or one will need to open to air.
