Look at e-bay, overstock, wayfair for simple cream curtains hung high over the windows on one rod. You badly need a very large painting over the far wall of the dining room. China cabinets are going somewhat out of style and this room does not need one. Take everything off the top of the piano and find two paintings that are similar in subject matter, one for each panel, and make sure they're large enough. Vertical art might look better there.

I agree - rather than a china cabinet for the dining room, consider a sideboard, a couple of buffet lamps and a nice piece of art work. Ballard Designs and Pottery Barn are some additional places with a nice selection of window coverings. They also have sideboards.
