Paint is weird that way! It looks perfect on a strip in the store, but buy it, take it home and put it on the wall and it suddenly does some schizophrenic change into an entirely different color. :) If you really liked that particular color, find it's color strip at the store (the one that has like 5 or 6 different shades of that color) and then move one or two shades up in lightness on the same strip. Often that will keep you in the range you are looking for. It's very difficult to suggest specific colors as colors change depending on where you're located. I know that sounds weird but it so true! I'm in the mountain west and colors always look warmer here than they do in, say, the east or the north. But try the color stick approach. And totally take advantage of any little samples the paint store might have. It's a cheap way to save a big headache!
