HELP! Ikea kitchen - plinth in corner

Hi all!

I'm currently trying to design my ikea kitchen but have an issue involving a plinth in the corner of my kitchen. It's a small bit of wall which is sticking out in the corner of the room. (See pic of floorplan here: https://ibb.co/hmddax)

My question is.. how do i get around this? Is it still possible to do an L shaped kitchen or do i need to stick to a straight line ? My brain just can't comprehend! Do I get a builder to cut into the cupboard?

Any help much appreciated!

Is it a plinth (short, so only affecting the base cabinet), or a chase (going all the way to the ceiling)?

I might not be understanding this correctly, but... What are the dimensions of that bump in? could you put a 15" deep base cabinet in front of it?

Good timing Ally as I have the same issue. Mine is a chase, according to catbuilder. So happy to know it actually has a name :)

Can you post a screenshot of your ikea plan and what you want to do? Instead of a straight run you want an L shaped kitchen? I think with Ikea you'll probably just void the corner.

On a wall bump in,

Cabinets can be pulled off the wall & the gap filled & braced with wood, then the countertop can line up in front & back.

On a wall bump out,

Cabinets can be cut down to be flushed in front or wall cabinets with a base built under to make flush.

You need to be working with a KD.
