Yes, exposed to sunlight it fades drastically.

Looks just like my mom’s floor. I think hers is Brazilian Cherry too. Crazy how popular that is.

FYI, Brazilian Cherry doesn't fade drastically, it darkens significantly. It will be lighter when it's new and darken fairly quickly. Under rugs it won't darken as much.

And just for more laughs, Brazilian Cherry has TWO colour presentations. The most desirable = red/flame orange as in the inspiration photo.

The second colour presentation is the DREADED (and yet just as common) PINK/PURPLE/MAROON colour. Yep. Google Brazilian Cherry "pink purple" and you will come up with HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of images of "purple" wood floors. I kid you not.

And you will NEVER KNOW which floor you've purchased until AFTER IT DARKENS! It's a 50:50 purchase. Fun huh? Darkening can take several weeks to several months depending on UV exposure. The brighter the rooms the darker/stronger in colour the floor becomes. Imagine PURPLE floors...it is enough to make you pause and reconsider.

All the more reason to skip Brazilian Cherry!!
