Beautiful sitting room. I would start with either art or an area rug for the dining room. Then pull your paint colors from that. Some soft greens might be an option.

Gorgeous sitting room. The clock in there is the "wow" factor, IMHO. I think for your dining room that art and a table centerpiece could be the wow. So I would chose some art a little bolder than what you have in the sitting room. Don't you need other furniture in your dining room? Like a sideboard or something? I have a tiny kitchen, so in my dining room I have a lot of dish storage.

I would do a deeper rendition of a color found in the dining room chairs and paint the dining room that color and carry it into the adjoining room...then find BIG art for one wall in dining room that has chair cover colors in it.....abstract to contrast with other art. Chandelier bottom should be 30-36 inches above table and add three inches higher for every foot above 8 foot tall ceiling.....

Lovely sitting room indeed... very tastefully done. Your dining room has such beautiful trim... I think a wallpaper above the chair rail on all three walls will really make it warm and cozy a design feature. You can think about a grasscloth wallpaper or even a mural in very light colors. Adding a rug in a neutral color will also be nice. Please make sure the rug is bigger than the footprint of the furniture in the dining room.
