Has Houzz changed its layout and format? Any ideas?

Yes, they have. And when I click on a thread to read it, it appears in a new tab,

And is anyone having troubles with this new format? I find that I have to sign in each time I come to the site. That is annoying!

Before the change, any unread posts were printed in green. Not now, all black, so hard to know if I have read a particular post.

I remember when Houzz took over, I had the same sign in problem.

Anyone else, or is it just me?

also not in love with all the sidebars. Just me being crotchety today.

I only access the website on my computer/laptop and haven't really noticed any changes in format ,,, unread posts are still green, no sign in issues, etc.

The only change that I have noticed is that they reduced the size of allowable posts. For example, the "at a glance" and the individual monthly lotto posts as done in the past are now way too big to post. This change took place sometime after I posted the January monthly lotto. So if anyone is wondering why those posts look different as compared to the past, that's the reason. If you have any feedback, let me know as I'm still trying to figure out how to best do the monthly lotto posts going forward.

Could it be the size of the photos that prohibits the size of the post?

Safari browser. I have been trying to find an address to send a note to

houzz but can't find anything. Anyone have a clue? I am too old to deal with more changes.

    Theresa,

    For support ....

Scroll down to the bottom of the page (any page in Houzz)

    Under "company", click "contact us"

Click the green "submit a request"

I have contacted them in the past and they have been helpful.

    Good luck!

Theresa - let us know how you make out with Houzz support.

bkay - it appears Houzz reduced the allowable post size to 21,800 characters. For some perspective, the 2018 "at a glance post" is 167,805 characters (see screen shot below). Even with removing and/or further shrinking the photos, which are not super huge to begin with, the post is still way too big. Photos do impact post size, but I don't want to remove them entirely, since they are the best part. When I wrote the "at a glance" post, I contemplated having to do the monthly posts. The January post was a simple cut and paste. It literally took seconds to post and I thought I had this all figured out. Then I went to post Feb and ran into the size constraint. Ugh! That's why the Feb and Mar posts are a bit "thin" and "choppy". Anyway, my "to do" is to determine how to best deal with the character limitation going forward. First step being to contact support and see if they will remove the limitation on our lotto posts. It never hurts to ask!

Now this is weird and I don't want to upset the apple cart but this morning, I am able to log on without that annoying sign in. Wii check later to see if it is still working. Technology! Bah!!
