A set of larger photos is essential to get feedback. Take photos looking at the back of the house as well as looking out from the house with several slightly overlapping photos panning across the width of the yard.

Are you planning to diy this or hire it out? If you are hiring, many firms will have someone who does design work for them and that is another option.

Are you looking to get suggestions on how to arrange the current patio, or do you want to extend the paved area? It seems like the place to put a buffet counter would be against the concrete wall, but I can't tell whether that would block a door or window of the house. It might make sense to have it quite narrow, just more than one dish wide rather than counter depth. How large a table, or would more smaller tables make sense if you only feed many people on occasion? It looks like the location of your current table is most reasonable. How you use the space will be important information since a table for two will be a different proposition than feeding an extended family of a dozen or more. The more information you share about the type of use and your goals for the space, the more useful the feedback you will get. Formal or informal? Family, friends, or business clients? Daily use or occasional use? Number of people? Etc.

I️ want to extend the patio probably remove the tree. We want room for about 6-8 people to sit comfortably. The table I was hoping to put in the extended patio maybe an island where the table is now. I want a big island/bar. I️ thought possibly to fill in some of the planter box with cement for the BBQ and put a stucco wall behind the BBQ. Not sure if that would look ok.
