Karen, I buy yardage or fat quarters, so I can cut it to the size I need. I bought two packs of batik strips, and was thinking of using them in a pineapple quilt I am making now. But the strips are 2 1/2”, and I need 1 3/4”, so that would be wasting a lot of fabric, and I’m a cheapskate! For this one, I mostly put two 5” squares RST, sewed on the diagonals and cut. Where I had tiny scraps, I had to cut up the squares. The 5” squares were cut zigzag, which is really annoying for precision piecing.

The back of this is a large white/turquoise chevron - popular several years ago, but now dated. This may become a charity quilt, and even if it doesn’t, it’s just the backing.

This is so pretty! I’m still seeing a lot chevron fabrics in shops and online. I bet the back is lovely.
