Source for amaryllis 'Temptation'?

I tried ETGB, but they keep sending me 'Showmaster'.

Lets hope that Temptation hasn't gone the way of Exotica which hasn't been available for several years now. (at least I can't find it) The last few years it was sold Terra Cotta Star was the substitute. I ended up with 2 of them for my last 2 tries for an Exotica!

I too will keep my eyes open for a Temptation; I used to have one and it was just beautiful.

Here is mine (which I no longer have) from 2011..!!

A year ago I bought a few bulbs from Fluwel.com. And Temptation was send to me as a free gift bulb.

I don’t know if Temptation was (or still is) available this year. Otherwise you will have to wait until next November..

Hi Sylv.

You might want to try ordering Showmaster from edensblooms. Mine just bloomed and it's actually Temptation.

These are my misslabels this year: Showmaster from Hirts is actually Charisma, Temptation from ETGB is Showmaster and Showmaster from edensblooms is Temptation.

Two years later, and the same thing happened to me. I picked up Temptation locally and it bloomed Showmaster. One day, I will try edensblooms as Nora suggested! Hopefully, the mislabel still applies lol ☺️

Just happened to be browsing and came across Temptation for a fall order available from K. van Bourgondien. Unfortunately, I believe that you can't buy just 1 bulb but have to buy 3.

I know many of you here have purchased from them and I personally have bought lilies that we planted last fall from them and they came in good condition.

At least it's good to know that this is still available so there is hope of finding them elsewhere if one doesn't want to buy 3 bulbs!

In my (brief) experience, mislabels only apply for one season. They seem to be the result of wholesalers mislabeling entire lots.

I ordered a Temptation from Europe about three years ago. I still haven't figured out the name of what I got, but it wasn't Temptation.

OP was 3 years ago, I also ordered from them in 2019 and got Showmaster , not Temptation. It’s not a mislabel, they just don’t know better..
