Denise, I got it summer of 2016. It is doing great...quite tall and with about 9 fruit that are almost ready.

Correction: it has 11 large lemons ...there were a few hidden ones I missed :)

Got mine from Stan today. The good: I have one now! And it has flowers on it! The bad: it has a mean case of chlorosis on all the younger leaves. Gave it a drink of FP and some chelated iron, hopefully it shapes up.

lucky_cloud, do you know what type of rootstock it's on? Last December I was torn between getting a NZL between Stan and Four Winds. I hate to ask, but can you post up a picture? I have one coming from Four Winds later on this week and would like to compare and wonder if I made the right choice.

Sure, I'll take one tomorrow. It was $25 for a 3gal pot (though you can tell from the rootball it was very recently a 1gal). It's a nice straight trunk, with good branching, and the tree is about 22-23" tall from soil to tip. I don't know the rootstock - I always forget to ask when I talk to him, and he usually isn't great about answering questions on email.

Thanks Lucky! Nice branching on the NZL. I emailed Stan this morning and he sold his last NZL on Saturday, but he hopes to have more by mid summer.

I have one more mail-order tree coming this spring and I am taking a break from getting more. It's getting tiresome to have to nurse these things back to health!

Thank you Lucky. My NZL tree is in transit today from Four Winds. I have never ordered an entry level tree before and will be comparing it with my premiums that I have ordered in the past. I know that's not fair. I went with the entry because nobody at Four Winds will answer my question as to when the premium sized trees will be available to purchase. I think Kendra told me they are in production and Ashley had no idea. In two years, mine will be the same size as the premium.

Your NZL is nicely structured. I hope mine will be as good.

Nice branching on that one, Kelley! How tall is it? I'm happy with mine, despite the yellow, curling leaves which is probably a shipping thing. It's got a nice, straight trunk and small branches that will grow up nicely.

I didn’t mean to imply that it looked bad, I’m just curious at the variance in size. I’m sure it will double in size in no time :). Mine is 23” from soil to the top leaf

Wow. What a difference between a premium an an entry level. I have never seen a FW entry before.
